Funny stuff
These two reelers were indeed funny. They were cheaply produced and show that you did not need a lot of money to produce a good comedy. These films are not well known today because they were distributed via a territorial states rights system. This was the only way a low budget film could get distributed in the early 20th century. The films that were widely seen were those produced and distributed by the major studios.

Why?
How come these two did not become as famous as Laural and Hardy? They were just as funny.
